SUS Council is the main governmental aspect of SUS. Weekly Council meetings allow a forum of discussion regarding matters important to UBC Science students. Council typically includes updates from the Executives, Club Reports, and many other matters of discussion.
Council meetings are mandatory for elected Councillors and Club Representatives. But don’t fret — Council is open to all SUS members — which is anybody who is pursuing a B.Sc.! Feel free to come out and voice your opinion on a matter under discussion, or add your own discussion points by sending topics to the Administrative Assistant (admin.asst@sus.ubc.ca).
Student Council can be a daunting thing for the first time, especially considering the formalized debate that occurs. But don’t be intimidated. Meetings are open and accommodating, and we’re looking for your input!
SUS Council meets every other Thursday from 12:45 to 1:50pm, in the SUB Council Chambers (SUB 2F, Room 206).
SUS Council does not convene during Summer Session.
